WELL-BUILT LIVESTOCK WEIGH HOUSE, NICUT
The Chennoweth family came to Calhoun before 1830, to engage in farming, the mercantile business and building some of the finest houses in the county. Shown above is a still pristine weigh station on Upper Nicut Road, likely built by the family about 1930, a family that loved and bred horses.
