CHARLESTON MURDERS - According to Charleston Police, units responded to the 300 block of Hunt Avenue at around 1:35 a.m. on Friday morning. They found a victim lying on the sidewalk who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The Charleston Fire Department tried to revive 26-year-old Bria Nicole White, of Charleston, but they were unsuccessful. She ended up dying from her wounds.

Police say that witnesses heard a loud argument coming from outside and then heard several gunshots. They then saw a person wearing dark clothing run east on Grant Street.

Then, at 8:00 a.m. the same morning, units found another woman, 22-year-old Kytiana Belcher, of Charleston, dead from gunshot wounds in the back yard of a home on the 1,000 of Grant Street.

Police say that the two shootings are related and that the two women were in a romantic relationship and lived together. They are calling this a double homicide investigation.
