CALHOUN ACTIVE CASES DROP IN HALF IN ONE DAY - WV New Cases 1,337

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 1,337 new COVID-19 cases and 17 additional deaths in its report on Sept. 21.

54 additional deaths in its report on Monday.

According to state chart, Calhoun active cases drop one-half in one day from 144 to 76, the county being red on the state chart for days, dropping briefly from red (highest) to green (lowest) in a single day.

Calhoun reportedly has a number of survivors who barely escaped death, according to first and second person accounts, some reportedly left with debilitating health problems.

Most recent Calhoun cases are among children and the 30-50 age group.

The crossover getting COVID-19 among the fully-vaccinated in 1.07%.

The DHHR reports there have been 3,728,272 (+12,360) total confirmatory laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 225,772 (+1,337) total cases and 3,441 (+17) total deaths.

According to the DHHR dashboard, there are currently 17,435 active cases.
