First reports say the driver of an Interstate Battery truck was stopped on Yellow Creek at 12:35 Thursday and assaulted by two individuals.

Those reports indicate the 30-year-old driver was struck on the head, the suspects having a hand gun.

Those reports indicate that the driver's wallet was robbed and batteries or other equipment likely taken from the truck.

The individuals fled the scene traveling toward Big Bend, the incident happening near Buckeye Oil, Yellow Creek.

Another report, unconfirmed, said a gun was pulled on a Big Bend man.

They were driving a light brown Ford Ranger with after market parts.

Calhoun EMS took the victim to Minnie Hamilton Health System.

State Police and the Calhoun Sheriffs Department responded.
