BANK ROBBERY - State police are looking for a suspect in connection with a bank robbery in Greenbrier County.

It happened around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Summit Bank in Rupert.

Troopers say the man had a weapon. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

There were no injuries reported.

The Rupert Police Department and the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office also responded.

WHEELING STABBING - Police made two arrests near a homeless encampment Thursday morning after getting a call about a stabbing.

Officers said they arrived and found Treva Lynn Ross, 41, of Wheeling, with a knife in her back. They said she began arguing with officers, took the knife out of her own back and threw it at police.

Ross is now hospitalized and has been charged with battery on an officer, unlawful assault and obstructing an officer.

The alleged stabber, Eugene Hamm, 41, of Valley Grove, is charged with malicious assault.
