Hospitalizations due to the coronavirus increased noticeably in West Virginia on Saturday while the state reported four more virus-related deaths.

The number of people in the state hospitalized with the virus increased by 12 in the past 24 hours to 260, according to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. There are 85 people in intensive care – up from 76 the previous day – and 25 people on ventilators, down one from Friday.

The overall positive test rate was 5.18% while the daily positive test rate came in at 3.33%. More than 553,000 people have been fully vaccinated in West Virginia.
