ALL WIC APPOINTMENTS IN JULY BY PHONE - The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program is a supplemental food program for pregnant, post-partum, or breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to the age of five. WIC provides food, breastfeeding support and nutrition education to families in Calhoun County. To apply for the WIC Program or to receive more information call our local office at 304-354-6898 or our main office in Parkersburg at 304-428-3688. WIC Clinic at 300 Mill Street, Grantsville every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. We are doing all appointments by phone for the month of July. TEMPORARY CHANGE IN GRANTSVILLE OFFICE HOURS - Starting Monday July 12th through Friday July 23rd, the Town of Grantsville's office hours will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Regular hours will resume on Monday July 26th. You can still put your payments in the red box right outside of the door or mail them. Sorry for any inconvenience.

CALHOUN LIBRARY CUPCAKE EVENT - Calhoun Public Library would like to invite you to stop by and decorate a cupcake! July 19th-23rd come in any time we are open, and decorate 2 cupcakes per person. All ages are welcome, all supplies will be provided. Current hours are, Monday-Tuesday 9 am-3 pm; Wednesday 10 am -5 pm; Thursday-Friday 9 am-3pm.

HORSE SHOW - The Central WV Riding Club will host its regular open horse show in celebration of their 50 year anniversary on Saturday, July 24. The show will be held at Holly Gray Park in Sutton and begins at 5:00 p.m. Riders and spectators welcome.

The building will be opened at 10:30 a.m. and lunch will be at 12 noon. Please plan to share your favorite recipe of meat, vegetable, salad, or dessert. Eating utensils, plates, cups, napkins, dinner rolls, condiments, sodas, water, and coffee will be provided. Two tournaments are planned: Corn Hole and BLOKUS. Recognition will be made for different categories. Events will be available for the smaller children. You may want to bring a folding chair for outside activities.

CREMO COMMUNITY CHURCH HOMECOMING - Cremo Community Church will be celebrating their 104th year with a Homecoming Service on Sunday, August 22nd. Preaching services will be held with dinner on the grounds to follow. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy the rich history of this old time church still sharing the Gospel in the Hills of West Virginia.
