SHINING STAR GOES TO DIANNE WEAVER |
| (09/09/2026) |
![]()
For several years the Hur Herald gave Shining Stars to Calhoun people who gave back and several years ago we gave one to a dutiful woman. A Shining Star goes to Dianne Weaver, associate editor of the Hur Herald, on this our wedding anniversary. I could write pages about Dianne, her exemplary character, work ethic, brightness and attitude about fair play, social justice and her compassion for others. Her daily work helping put the Herald together for years with no pay, including her love for animals doing Animal Alert, speaks loudly. Personally, her devotion and support over the is unmeasurable, particularly through five years of living with me as a practicing alcoholic, and her longtime effort to give our home to foster and nurture a large number of individuals facing problems, part of our family life, sometimes a few months, sometimes years. The Shining Star is given to Dianne, my heroine, with love and appreciation. - Bob Weaver
