MOLASSES FESTIVAL THANKS & APPRECIATION

The 36th Annual West Virginia Molasses Festival ended Saturday, September 27, with the Molasses Makers "running off" 96 3/4 gallons of sorghum syrup. Thanks to the local media - and other publicity a large crowd attended the event, including folks from Alaska, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia.

The Molasses Festival Committee would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all community volunteers, workers, cane growers, festival judges, Community Education, Outreach Service members, 4-H members, area and county participants, exhibitors who displayed quality products, vendors, musicians and entertainers, parade participants, food preparers, contributors to the country store, those who provided wood for the molasses pan, Arnoldsburg School PTO, Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department for their help, visitors and other interested folks for the success of the 2003 WV Molasses Festival.
