AN OPEN LETTER - In Appreciation From The Bunner Family

(03/20/2001)

The benefit for my Dad was wonderful, it is so touching to have the support of so many people. Often when folks die they have no idea the number of lives they have touched, the family is often supported by the number of individuals paying their respect. It was such a blessing for my Dad to enjoy the company and support of so many people, and for him to have the opportunity to realize the impact of his life, while here on this earth.

If you could please share with the Herald readers my thanks to the individuals who helped make this blessing and renewal of spirit possible. The number of people in attendance was many and the food was great. There were many "pickers" and musicians who shared their talents throughout the day. Tom Poe was there with his Western Square Dance group as well as providing music for my Dad to call a few hoe down tunes. Folks had the opportunity to share, reminisce, and dance a jig.

Many thanks goes out to the individuals who worked so hard to make the benefit such a success; Ralph & Lorraine Bunner, Howard & Mary Jane Bunner, Kim Richards, Shawna & Ronnie Goodnight, Shelly Murphy, Angie Dorsey, Linda Spaur, Tonya Bunner, and all the folks who prepared and donated food.

A special thanks goes out to Mr. & Mrs. Al Hogan for their wonderful hospitality in providing the facility for the benefit and their genuine "good neighbor" spirit of sharing. The individuals and businesses which made donations for the auction, many of you gave anonymously, your contributions are greatly appreciated.

To all in attendance and those that helped in any way, thank you for opening your hearts and making the day an enjoyable and memorable event.

God Bless,
Delbert & Marilyn Bunner and Family
