Stutler Youth Loses Eye in 1901

Transcribed by Norma Knotts Shaffer from microfilm of the Calhoun Chronicle dated 1/8/1901 and 2/12/1901.

One of D.E. Stutler's little boys met with a very serious and painful accident about a week ago. He was playing with his brothers when he fell off a fence, running a splinter in one of his eyes, doubtless causing him to lose his sight. The attending physician thinks there is danger of inflammation to the brain resulting from it.

D.E. Stutler informs us that his little boy, who fell from a fence, running a splinter in his eye, some weeks ago, mention of which was made at the time, has lost his sight in the injured eye.
