The Calhoun County Lady Red Devils Volleyball Team hosted a TRI with Ravenswood and Doddridge County Tuesday evening.

The first match of the evening was with the Ravenswood Devilettes and Doddridge County Lady Bulldogs. The Devilettes pulled off the win going to three games with scores of 15-2, 12-15, 15-9.

The second match was with the Lady Red Devils and the Devilettes battling it out for the win. Calhoun came up just short of the win playing two games in the match with a score of 15-12, 15-10. Coach Jessi Evans said, "We fought hard and came up short due to serving errors which we must get better on...movement and coverage was good, but we just can't have one without the other. And you can't win without good serves to score off of.!"

The third match of the evening was between the Lady Red Devils and the Lady Bulldogs. The Lady Red Devils finally came up with the win in two games, with scores of 17-15, 15-6. Coach Evans was very pleased with how her team never gave up and pulled off the win with a very tough and well fought match. "They are improving every game. We still have a long way to go and many aspects of the game to master but I have an eager group of ladies to work with," said Evans.
