UPS Delivers - USPS Doesn't

Dear Editor,

When I was a child there was a saying that no matter what the weather nothing could stop the mail carrier from completing his rounds ... that is apparently something that doesn't apply today.

We didn't get mail delivery on Wednesday, I assume due to weather conditions. However, in spite of conditions we did receive a package delivered by UPS. Our house is 3 tenths of a mile from the highway on a private gravel drive and in spite of not being able to drive all the way in, the UPS deliveryman walked the final tenth of a mile through the snow to our home carrying the package.

How's that for dedication to doing a job? Perhaps the USPS should study their methods and emulate the UPS company.
