LITTLE KANAWHA LONGBEARDS HAVE BANQUET - National Wild Turkey Federation Event

Submitted by Brad Lay

Little Kanawha Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation held their first annual membership banquet on April 4, 2002 at the Gilmer County Recreation Center, Glenville, WV. The event was a big success with 154 in attendance. There were 100 new memberships, 16 of them Women In The Outdoors. 43 young people, or JAKES registered during the evening. A collection was taken and enough money was raised to allow an additional 80 young people to join for free.

If you have a JAKE that would like to become a member, please contact Brad Lay at 354-6411. Forty of the new JAKES will be from Calhoun county and 40 from Gilmer County.

JAKES. Thanks Lyle.
