Little Pioneers "C" Team Has Successful Season

After several years of not having youth football in Gilmer County, local residents Jeremy and Leisa Dean took a giant step to bring the program back to the county.

With around 50 boys, ages 6-12 playing and 15 girls, ages 6-12 cheering, the season has been long, but lots of fun.

The county's "C" Team, ages 6-8 has had a successful season, winning 3 regular season games. This tied them for 4th place with Calhoun Little Red Devils.

Tuesday night, October 16 the 2 teams had a tie breaking game to see who would make the playoffs. The crowd was in tune with the players. Announcer, Tony Conrad did an awesome job keeping the crowd on their feet and cheering the boys to victory. I would like to give a special thank you to Jeremy and Leisa Dean, and the "C" Team coaches. They have donated so much of their time to work with these young boys. Your dedication to the team means so much to the players and parents. "C" Team players be proud of what you have accomplished, you have worked hard.

Gilmer County lets support these young boys by filling the stands Sunday afternoon and cheering them onto another victory. "Let's Go Pioneers."
