"MEET THE TEAMS" NIGHT,YOUTH GAME SUNDAY - Singing 'Auld Lang Syne' Backwards

While there has been no official announcement, it appears the Calhoun High School football team will be returning to Wayne Underwood Field for the fall season. Administrator Roger Propst said much progress has been made at the new athletic complex, but "It just won't be ready for play."

"I guess we'll just have to sing 'Auld Lang Syne' backwards," he concluded.

The Calhoun County Athletic Complex Committee (CCACC) recommended returning to the old field about two months ago.

There will be a "Meet The Teams" night tonight at 7 p.m. at Wayne Underwood Field. All Calhoun Middle and High School fall sports teams will be introduced, along with the band and cheer leaders. There is no admission charge for this event. The public is encouraged to come out and enjoy the evening.

The Calhoun Youth Football League is hosting its first game this Sunday (August 19) at Wayne Underwood Field. The youth will be hosting Vienna. The first game starts at 1 .m. for the A, B and C teams.
