Former Deputy Writes About Resignation

Dear Editor,

As to my resignation from Calhoun Sheriff's Department.

It is sad to say that many times I have appeared after working all night under court order and to find out that the case had been continued and no notice to me under the present prosecutor.

And when I have serious family issues, I get charged with contempt of court. But family will always come first in my book.

I just want to say it has been a pleasure to work with the people of Calhoun County and I will miss you all.

But due to commission wanting to hire two in place of me, I have know other choice but to resign my position. It is obvious what they are up to.

I hope the good citizens of Calhoun understand and accept my choice to leave.
