FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR CALHOUN AND REGION - Serious Flooding In Ripley

A flash flood watch has been issued for multiple counties in West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio.

There was serious flooding in Ripley and Jackson County Thursday, also Lincoln County.

The National Weather Service in Charleston said the watch is in effect through Friday evening for the following counties in West Virginia: Kanawha, Putnam, Cabell, Wayne, Mason, Jackson, Wood, Lincoln, Roane, Wirt, Calhoun, Ritchie, Mingo, Logan, Boone, Clay, Braxton, Gilmer, Lewis, McDowell, Wyoming, Upshur, Raleigh, Fayette, Nicholas, Webster, Pocahontas and Randolph.

Meanwhile, a flash flood warning remained in effect until noon Thursday for central Jackson County, W.Va.
