SATURDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT - 326 NEW CASES

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 326 new COVID-19 cases and five additional deaths in its report on Saturday.

The DHHR confirmed 287 new COVID-19 cases and nine additional deaths in its report on Friday.

It appears that Calhoun has three new cases this week.

The report from the DHHR stated that as of 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, there have been a total of 2,230,102 (+11,614) laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 133,290 (+326) total cases and 2,323 (+5) of those cases resulting in deaths.

The DHHR has confirmed the death of a 79-year old female from Clay County.

According to the DHHR’s COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 5,984 (-160) active cases and 124,983 (+481) recovered cases in the state.

According to the dashboard, as of Saturday morning, 336,336 (+12,525) first doses of the vaccine have been administered, and 215,255 (+6,261) people have been fully vaccinated.
