A special meeting of the Gilmer County Board of Education is set for Friday (11/13) to consider actions related to requests it has received.

A Gilmer school administrator has submitted a letter of resignation that the county’s Board of Education will consider in a special meeting Friday, according to an agenda released by the board.

The BOE is also considering a recommendation made by Superintendent Patricia Lowther to terminate the school administrator.

While speculation is circling on social media regarding the situation, no official information has been released.
