The state has now recorded 250 COVID-19 related deaths. The state Department of Health and Human Resources added three deaths Tuesday morning.

Calhoun appears to have nine active cases.

According to the DHHR, two women in Kanawha County died, one was 64 and the other 85. Putnam County recorded its first COVID-19 related. The victim listed as a 78-year-old woman.

There were 86 confirmed cases statewide added Tuesday. There’s a daily positive test rate of 6.02%. Officials said active cases are approaching 2,800.

West Virginia continues to lead the nation in the rate of spread of COVID-19, the Rt value is 1.29.

Hospitalizations grew to 152 Tuesday with 57 patients in ICU and 26 being treated on ventilators.
