WV HAS THREE NEW COVID-19 DEATHS THURSDAY

Three new COVID-19-related deaths have been reported Thursday by health departments in West Virginia.

The Mingo County Health Department reported two deaths – a 73-year-old man and a 66-year-old man, according to a news release.

The 73-year-old was hospitalized at Appalachian Regional Healthcare in South Williamson, Kentucky, after testing positive July 31. The 66-year-old was hospitalized at Logan Regional Medical Center after testing positive July 30.

The county has had five deaths related to the coronavirus.

The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department also reported a death Thursday in Pleasants County, according to a news release.

The state Department of Health and Human Resources lists West Virginia’s COVID-19 death total at 124. The three deaths were not included in Thursday’s report.
