AM FRIDAY: 156 NEW WV COVID-19 CASES MORNING REPORT - 13 Deaths This Week, 1,700 Active Cases Once Again

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 156 new cases of the coronavirus and an additional death caused by the virus in its morning report on Friday.

Thirteen deaths this week in WV.

The report from the DHHR stated that as of 10 a.m. on Friday, July 31, there have been a total of 281,451 (+4,108) total laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 6,578 (+156) total cases and 116 (+1) of those cases resulting in deaths.

The DHHR has confirmed Friday the death of a man from Raleigh County.

According to the DHHR’s website, there are currently 1,712 (+108) active cases and 4,750 (+47) recovered cases in the state.
