| Judge Ashley held Circuit Court in Grantsville on May 19, 2020.
Prosecutor Shannon Johnson said Fred Tanner, Brian Smith, and Joseph Southers appeared via video conferencing from Central Regional Jail and Chasity Bell appeared in person for Pre-Trial Hearings. There were no pre-trial issues in any of the cases. They are all set for Jury Trial on July 28, 2020.
Shawn Parsons appeared for a hearing on the State’s Motion to Revoke his Probation. Mr. Parsons admitted to violating his probation. He was sentenced to thirty days in jail on the violation. He was given credit for fourteen days time served. Upon his release from incarceration, he will be returned to probation to serve the remainder of his probationary period.
Darren Parsons appeared for a hearing on the State’s Motion to Revoke his Probation. His hearing was continued to May 21st.
Travis Moore was set for Sentencing, but his case was continued to May 21st due to illness of the Defendant.
The Court also heard seven juvenile hearings.
Judge Ashley returned to Grantsville for Circuit Court on May 21, 2020.
Deandre Brownridge appeared for a Hearing on the Defendant’s Motion to Reduce and/or Modify Bond. Upon the State’s objection, the Court denied the motion.
Prosecutor Johnson said Darren Parsons appeared for a hearing on the State’s Motion to Revoke his Probation. The Defendant admitted to violating his probation. He was sentenced to one to five years in the state penitentiary for Fleeing in a Vehicle with Reckless Disregard, a Felony.
Christopher Lamp appeared for a hearing on the State’s Motion to Revoke his Probation. The Defendant admitted the violations of his probation and was sentenced to one to three years in the state penitentiary for Attempt to Commit a Felony, a Felony, and to one year in the regional jail for petit larceny. These sentences are to be served concurrently and the Defendant was given sixty days credit for time served.
Travis Moore appeared via telephone for Sentencing. The Court necessarily continued his hearing to June 1, 2020.
The Court also held three juvenile hearings.
