POLICE PURSUING MAN NEAR UPPER BEECH RD./SANG RUN - Armed Man Threatening To Kill Family

ORIGNAL STORY 5/22/20 - Calhoun 911 dispatched law enforcement about 8:45 p.m. Friday to a situation near upper Beech Road and Sang Run area, where an intoxicated man was reported to have gone to a neighbors to retrieve several guns, allegedly returning to a residence making threats to kill family members.

He reportedly threatened to kill his wife and parents at 293 Sang Run.

The man, according to reports, indicated he would kill law enforcement.

The man's wife reportedly left for another county.

He is reportedly a person that was not suppose to have firearms.

The Calhoun Sheriff and deputies, several units of the WV State Police and Roane County Sheriffs Department responded.

The Calhoun Sheriffs Department staged at the Milo Church, when a vehicle reportedly driven by the individual passed the officers, officers went in pursuit.

Witnesses said he was traveling on Rt. 16 in a damaged vehcle.

Police said a telephone pole and mail boxes were down.

The Calhoun Sheriffs Department is obtaining warrants for the man.

The man had not been located at midnight Friday. More to follow...
