POLICE LOOK FOR WOMAN SHOOTER - Charleston Metro dispatchers say they are looking for a woman driving a gray car in connection to a Thursday night shooting.

A man was shot in the leg Thursday night in Charleston.

A man with a gunshot wound was alert and talking when emergency crews arrived Thursday night on the scene, Metro 911 dispatchers say. The incident was reported just after 8 p.m. on Timothy Way in Charleston.

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in the leg, Charleston Police say.

Officers say five shell casings were found at the scene and there was some property damage. They explained that a window was shot out, a bullet entered one apartment and a truck tire was hit by gunfire.
