|Calhoun Schools have stepped up to the plate with the CONVID-19 Virus.|
Calhoun Schools, mostly using buses, delivered over 1000 meals Wednesday to anyone under the age of 18.
Superintedent Kelli Whytsell said, "I want to thank everyone who has helped in the food preparation and delivery of the food on the buses. We have a staff that goes above what anyone could ask them to do. I am blessed to work with this great team."
The school system just finished packing meals for the next 7 days to be delivered Thursday, a team effort to get that many meals packed and ready to go out AM Thursday.
Calhoun Schools will not be delivering meals again until March 30th, but are available to assist students by phone or email.
"If any student has a need, please send your teacher and school administrator a message. These are trying times for everyone; our counselors and social workers are also available to talk to students or parents. By working together to support everyone, we will meet the needs of our community. Thanks for all the help and support, please continue to support our students in any way you can. We are here if you need help," Whytsell concluded.
