Judge Anita Harold Ashley held Circuit Court in Calhoun County on Wednesday.

According to the West Virginia Supreme Court's Administrative Order attempting to lessen Court hearings over the next few weeks, the docket was limited to the most time sensitive matters.

"Several cases originally set for the day were handled through the presentment of a Court Report and Agreed Orders to the Court which continued the cases to a later date," said Prosecutor Shannon Johnson.

Burton Paul Copen appeared via video conferencing from the Central Regional Jail for a hearing to reduce and/or to modify bond. The Court granted the motion and placed him on a ten thousand dollar cash, surety, or property bond. As a condition of bond, he must be placed on home confinement and submit to random drug screens.

Austin Dailey appeared for a hearing on the State's Motion for a First Technical Violation of Probation. Mr. Dailey admitted to the violations and will be sentenced on April 8, 2020.

Larry Robert Joseph appeared via video conferencing from the Central Regional Jail for a hearing to reduce and/or to modify bond. The Court granted the motion and placed him on a ten thousand dollar cash, surety, or property bond. As a condition of bond, he must be placed on home confinement and submit to random drug screens.

Loralee Brown appeared via video conference from the Central Regional Jail on the State's Motion for a First Technical Violation of Probation. Ms. Brown admitted to violating her probation and was sentenced to sixty (60) days in the regional jail.

The Court noted that Ms. Brown may be released if she is to obtain placement at an inpatient drug rehabilitation center. She also was given credit for time served since her arrest on the violation.
