The Calhoun County Sheriff's Department donated several outdated state law books to the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center's Criminal Justice Program, today.

Sheriff Jeff Starcher stated that the law books have been accumulating over the past several years and have been in storage.

"These state code books are outdated, and serve no use to us now, due to constant changes in the law. We made the decision to donate them to the Criminal Justice Program, rather than discarding them. This is and always has been a great program," said, Sheriff Starcher.

"Even though these code books are outdated, we felt that the Criminal Justice Program could benefit from them, especially for reference purposes," He continued.
