GUNS, BOMBS AND DRUGS - A man in Jackson County, West Virginia, was arrested after deputies said they served a search warrant at his property and found the makings for a pipe bomb, suspected drugs and a stolen gun and vehicle.

Robert “Robbie” Wolfe, 43, of Sandyville is currently charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, and other charges are pending, Jackson County sheriff’s deputies said.

Deputies served the warrant Saturday at Wolfe’s residence on Greenhills Road, where they said they discovered a white substance believed to be meth, numerous sets of digital scales, drug paraphernalia and numerous firearms.

In a bedroom, they found a large PVC-style pipe with a closed endcap. Deputies said the pipe contained two electric blasting caps and three non-mixed, commercial explosives. A rifle that was reported stolen in Putnam County in August 2016 also was found at the home, deputies said.

During an interview with Wolfe, a deputy said, the suspect reported he received the explosives from a man in the trunk of a vehicle that Wolfe believed to be stolen. A vehicle reported stolen in August 2019 in South Charleston also was found on Wolfe’s property, deputies said.

Deputies said Wolfe was transported to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, where during another interview said he had been addicted to meth for more than 20 years and he sells it to support his own habit. He said people would bring different types of valuables to him and he would in return deliver meth to the individuals.

Wolfe is currently being held at South Central Regional Jail on a $50,000 surety/cash bond.
