SHELIA BURCH NAMED NEW LKADC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Little Kanawha Area Development Corporation welcomed its new Executive Director Shelia Burch to the organization as of January 1, 2020. Ms. Burch succeeds Diane Ludwig who retired at the end of 2019, and will lead the LKADC non-profit in its efforts to promote economic and community development in Calhoun and Wirt Counties.

Ms. Burch was employed by Attorney Loren Howley for more than 33 years and has extensive experience working with new and existing businesses, non-profits, and governmental agencies throughout the region. She has worked on various community projects such as water line extensions and sewer improvements. Ms. Burch also sat on various boards and is currently chairperson of the Mt. Zion PSD.

Ms. Burch is a graduate of Marshall University and a WV Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator. Her family owns and operates a small family farm in Calhoun County. Ms. Burch is also the founder of Pipeline Home, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families stay connected who are separated by distance through work or life situations.
