Calhoun Commissioner Scottie "Chip" Westfall has announced he will not seek re-election for another term.

Westfall said, "I have enjoyed working with my fellow commissioners and the people of Calhoun County. I'm retiring."

Westfall has been a "show up" commissioner, attending 25 or more official meetings annually and actively participating as a member of numerous and local boards.

"I have always made decisions which are in the best interests of the county," he concluded.
