| MAN FIRES GUN - Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Bruceton Mills man on felony charges of wanton endangerment Saturday.
According to the criminal complaint, deputies responded to a report of shots fired at the Timothy Seal residence. Deputies met at the West Virginia Division of Highways garage to arrive at the scene together.
One deputy heard two distinct, small-caliber rounds fired from the direction of the Seal residence. Upon arrival, Timothy Blake Seal, 50, met the deputies at the door with a hammer in his hand and speaking incoherently, the complaint states.
Deputies frisked Seal, and a metal pipe was located in Seal’s front pocket. Next to the pipe was a gram bag of suspected methamphetamine, which later tested positive, deputies said.
Upon entering the residence, deputies contacted several individuals in the residence, who appeared to be shaken. A female witness said that “Seal began firing out of the window into the dark, saying he seen people outside.” The witness said Seal fired 25 to 50 rounds, and she fled to a bedroom to protect herself.
The woman said Seal struck the side of the house no fewer than five times with .40-caliber rounds. At least one of the rounds severed an electrical cord hanging out of the rear bedroom window.
Two round impact points were located in the tree in the yard. The tree was located about 10 yards from the house and 50 yards from Galloway road and an occupied residence.
A Hi-Point .40-caliber pistol was located in Seal’s bed with a round jammed in an apparent double feed in the chamber, and two in the magazine, deputies said. Multiple spent casings were located on the ground outside the window. A live .40 caliber round was found on floor of the living room, from where the rounds were fired.
Seal was read his rights and he allegedly stated he did not shoot the house, but he was shooting at people who were walking in his yard.
Seal had a previous domestic violence conviction and a protection order, both of which prohibit him from having any firearms.
Seal was arraigned in front of Magistrate P.L. Grimm and held on $50,000 bond. |
