Candles were lit Saturday night at Roane County High School in memory of Alex Miller, the senior wide receiver for the Raiders who died after collapsing on the sideline during Friday night’s game against Clay County.
Several hundred mourners formed a large circle in Spencer as a sign of remembrance.
Meanwhile, students from a number of schools around West Virginia asked for donations to help the Miller family with funeral expenses, raising several thousand dollars.
