INTEGRITY - Lesson 1 At Pleasant Hill Developmental Guidance Assembly

(08/22/2019)

By Heather Cummings

Pleasant Hill Elementary School had their first Developmental Guidance assembly for 2019-20 school year. These assemblies will take place once a month with a different theme word each time.

Miss Cottrell and Mrs. Martin, Calhoun Schools student and family support staff, gave a great presentation of what it means to show integrity. Integrity means doing the right thing even when no one is watching.

During this assembly students acted out a story about a little boy who wanted a bike, but his family couldn't afford it. During a trip to the store the boy saw a lady who dropped money on the ground. He grabbed it up and took it home and later realized it was $100 bill.

He wanted to buy a bike since he could afford it now, but he realized that doing the right thing and giving the money back was the right thing to do.

The students learned to always show integrity by always being honest, kind and respectful.
