WIND ADVISORY ISSUED FOR REGION

The National Weather Service in Charleston issued a wind advisory from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. Wednesday for parts of West Virginia and Ohio.

Strong winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph at times are expected, the NWS reported.

West Virginia counties affected include Kanawha, Putnam, Jackson, Mason, Wood, Pleasants, Tyler, Roane, Wirt, Calhoun, Ritchie, Clay, Braxton, Gilmer and parts of Nicholas and Webster counties. The peak of the strong winds is expected to occur through the overnight hours.
