(02/06/2019)
A Roane County man is accused of raping a young child.

Joshua Justice, 21, of Looneyville is charged with three counts of first degree sexual assault.

According to the criminal complaint, the investigation started in January after the victim, who was under the age of 10 when the alleged sexual assaults took place, was interviewed about the alleged crimes.

The victim says she was sexually assaulted on more than one occasion by Justice at a home in Roane County in 2016. Deputies say Justice was 19 years old at the time.

The victim and her family have since moved out of state, according to Roane County deputies investigating the case.

Justice was taken into custody Monday morning in Parkersburg.

Justice is being held on a $300,000 bond.

Braxton authorities arrested Dustin Ray Hillegas, 31, and charged him with a felon in possession of a firearm. He is being held on $10,000 bond.
