The incoming GOP majority of the West Virginia House of Delegates renominated Speaker Roger Hanshaw, R-Clay, to continue serving as Speaker of the House for the 84th Legislature.

Hanshaw serves the 33rd District, which includes Calhoun, Clay, and Gilmer Counties.

The nomination was made during a private caucus meeting at the state Capitol.

“I am honored and humbled to once again receive this nomination from my colleagues and friends, and look forward to working with them over the next two years to improve the economy and opportunities available to all West Virginians,” Speaker Hanshaw said.
