MALICIOUS WOUNDING - A man from Preston County is charged after allegedly cutting a man with glass and throwing him over a railing in the Rowelsburg area.

According to the criminal complaint, an undercover officer responded to the scene. The victim had blood all over him and told the officer about the incident. After the officer arrived, the suspect, 34-year-old John Goff, ran into a house. The front door was locked and barricaded when the officer tried opening it.

The officer said he could see blood on the front door and the porch. When the officer forced his way into the house, Goff was lying on the stairs. According to the criminal complaint, the victim had a large cut on his arm and cuts on his fingers and hands. Goff was charged with malicious wounding.
