MULTIPLE POLICE UNITS RESPOND TO UNFOUNDED HOSTAGE SITUATION, BOOBY-TRAPPED HOUSE AT ANNAMORIAH

Multiple police units responded to a 911 call at a Annamoriah residence (State Rt. 5) at 9:20 p.m. Sunday where a male suspect was reported to be in a domestic dispute with a female, the report also allegeding he could be holding the female hostage, further indicating that the residence was "booby-trapped."

The situation appeared to be remediated by 10:45 p.m., officers saying the incident was "unfounded."

Calhoun Deputy Jason Chang and Grantsville Police Chief Craig Gherke arrived on the scene, calling for back-up.

Ar least three State Police units responded to the scene.

State Police also responded Sunday night to a domestic situation related to children in the Chloe area.
