MAD AT COPS - A Cross Lanes man is facing a felony charge after he is accused of threatening to kill police officers at the Nitro Walmart.

Thomas James Shea Jr., 55, is charged with making threats of terrorist acts, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

According to the release, at about 4:20 p.m. Thursday, a manager at the Walmart saw Shea Jr. in a brown trench coat loitering in the checkout area of the store and acting suspiciously.

When the manager asked if there was anything he could help with, the complaint said Shea Jr. said, "I want to kill some cops and this would be a great place to do it." The complaint said Shea Jr. also said he "would pick them off as they came up."

The manager then called 911.

When Nitro Police arrived, the found Shea Jr. still standing in the checkout area. The complaint said he was detained and told police that a Charleston police officer that previously arrested him "makes him angry."
