WIC NUTRITION PROGRAM

The Women, Infants, and Children [WIC] Nutrition Program is a supplemental foods program for pregnant, post-partum, or breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to the age of five. WIC provides food, breastfeeding support and nutrition education to families in Calhoun County. To apply for the WIC Program or to receive more information call the local office at 304-354-6898 or the main office in Parkersburg at 304-428-3688. WIC Clinic is at 186 Hospital Drive Building 2, Suite 3, Grantsville each Wednesday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

TUESDAY JUNE 18

PARK MEETING - W.F.C.A. will hold a Park meeting next Tuesday June 18th at 6 p.m.at the park in Arnoldsburg, for the planning of the West Virginia Molasses’s Festival. Held at the end of September. Everyone is welcome to attend. We are always looking for motivated volunteers.

FRIDAY JUNE 21

"THE JACKPOT IS CLIMBING" - Friday Night Bingo At the Rosedale Senior Center. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Games begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 21st. JACKPOT starts at $1,142.50. WEAVER REUNION - Descendants of Eugenaous and Elizabeth (Elllyson) Weaver, and all extended friends and families will be held at Old Tanner High School-Grade School at Tanner WV on June 22nd. Dinner at 12-noon in the cafeteria. Bring a covered dish, and any pictures to share, and a wrapped gift for the auction. Looking forward to seeing you there. BEEKEEPERS MEETING NOTICE - The next meeting of the WCBA [West Central Beekeepers Association] will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22nd, at the COA building, 110 Madison Ave, Spencer, WV. The guest speaker will be Joyce Frye, speaking on "Simple Natural Bee Keeping". The public is invited.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - Knotts Memorial and Pleasant Hill UM Churches will host SonQuest Rainforest Vacation Bible School beginning Wednesday, July 24th through Friday, July 26th, starting at 5:30 p.m. each evening at Pleasant Hill UM Church. Enter a world of amazing animals, fabulous fish, intelligent insects – as we travel a long way upriver to discover the abundant rain forest! At SonQuest Rainforest Kids will...Learn to follow Jesus on a life-changing adventure. Play fun games, Eat yummy snacks, Watch hilarious skits! Children of all ages are invited to attend.
