REMEMBERING:WELL-KNOWN CALHOUN NATIVE WILLIAM ICE

A well-known Calhoun native, William L. Ice, of Ross Township, Pittsburgh died January 12, 2018 at the age of 86.

Ice was a proud Calhouner, a graduate of Calhoun County High School in 1948, then graduating from Glenville State College, and married to a Calhoun woman Virginia Ferguson Ice for 60 years.

Ice frequently returned to Calhoun to participate in the annual alumni gathering at Calhoun High, where he often served as Master of Ceremonies.

He worked his entire career with Koppers Company Inc. as a contract manager in the Engineering and Construction Division and was extremely active in his churches over the years. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist.

His brother Clovis Drexel Ice was a well-known Calhoun military hero. (See Hur Herald stories)
