As our last Claria items were short I will try to make it more interesting for you this time.

E.P. Bailey, who has been in Webster county for a few months, was brought back a few days ago with typhoid fever, and is very sick.

John Stalnaker is on the sick list this week.

J.L. Goff made a flying trip to Spencer last week.

J.B. Booher, who has been in the mountains for some time, has returned home.

L.W. Smith said it was hard for a man to put out a crop after getting married.

A. Gunn said he likes to trade donkeys for wheat the best kind. Mrs. Naomi Booher has been visiting relatives at Spencer for the past two weeks.

The mail carrier passed by here one day last week and he said he had Grantsville in the sacks; as it wasn't doing any good, he thought he would take it away and it looked by the load he had but we found out later that it was the Chronicle.

J.J. Booher lost about $150 worth of timber during the recent high waters. Corn crops are damaged to a great extent.

J.J. Starcher wants to cut his wheat this fall if it gets ripe in time.

Simon Whitezel (Whytsell)is going to quit the saw mill business.

J.J. Booher returned from Creston one day last week, where he has been looking after some timber business.
