2004: LAST 'RASTLERS' CAME TO TOWN - Rumble At Minnora

2004 During the 1950s and 1960s, the scheduling of wrestling events in Calhoun were common, usually drawing a large crowd. They appeared with their best show-biz performances. This rumble was at the Minnora Center, a cadre of professional wrestlers puting on a show for the community. The crowd was sparse, with area residents held back by the threat of rising waters. The wrestling events have been fund raisers for the center. This Minnora event was likely the last rasslin' show brought to the county.
