2001: KOFFEE KUP LUNCH BUNCH REUNITES - Mary Ann Barrows Visits

2000 Bob Weaver

Years have passed with the "Silver Girls" lunch bunch getting together nearly every weekday in Grantsville. The late Gladys Weaver Stump contended "We're too young to be "Golden Girls." The group, with some members experiencing health problems, made an effort to have lunch, one more time Friday.

Mary Ann Barrows, retired publisher and editor of The Calhoun Chronicle, along with her son David Barrows, joined the group after a considerable absence. Local resident Ila Grey Snider, who has had some difficulty making the lunch these past few months, was present in good form.

It was a chatty, informal get-together, as usual. Gladys, who died in 1999, said "We talk about everyone who is not there."
