Calhoun's deer kill was down 36% during the first week of hunting season,
according to the Wildlife Resources Section of the Department of Natural
Resources in Parkersburg.
Figure show 1,410 deer were checked in Calhoun, compared to 2,187 last year.
DNR did not break-down the buck vs. doe kill in their first report.
The kill was down in all regional counties, according to the report.
