An 11-point buck was checked in yesterday at Parson's One Stop by Terry Yoak. Employees of the store said "It was as nice a rack as you'll see around here."

Speedy Mart said at least two 11-point bucks have been checked in there.

The really big rack was checked Tuesday at Rick's Place at Minnora by Richard Perkins - an 18-point.

The overall deer count is down so far this week, maybe half, from the previous season.

County hunters have at least one big theory on the smaller heard his fall.

Paul Parsons at Parson's One Stop said he and several other hunters discovered the skeletons of up to twenty deer in the Bee Creek woods, their remains under fallen timber from the ice storm last winter.

Other hunters say many of the deer were malnourished last winter, mostly linked to overpopulation with a lack of food supply.
