The school newspaper is making a comeback at Calhoun Middle/High School,
thanks to Lights On! and Gaylen Duskey.
Duskey says he has four students interested so far, but is looking for more high school students to help with the project.
The publication will take on the original masthead of "The Clarion," and will be
published once a month, said Duskey.
"The Clarion" was published bi-weekly and later monthly, covering at least four
decades, the 40s through the 90s. At times the publication was discontinued. An earlier publication was known as the
"Calhoun Hi-Life."
Duskey, a former sports editor, newspaper columnist and writer, is helping launch the project.
"We need some students who are interested in writing, reporting and journalism in
general to help with the publication," said Duskey.
Interested individuals can still help by contacting Duskey through the school office or e-mailing realfang@citlink.net
