The sun was shining brightly up and down the Little Kanawha Valley yesterday,
and in some places it was difficult to spot reminders of this week's flood.
The town of Glenville was looking "cleaned up" with some final work being
completed by the West Virginia National Guard.
County Commissioner Reta Kight said there was several feet of water under the stop
light on the town's main street, causing water to enter several business
establishments in the downtown area.
Tons of damaged goods was piled up in the street for removal.
Kight said the National Guard is doing an outstanding job helping local residents
with the clean-up.
